I was extremely disappointed with the results of my service with Eurocentre Automotive. I brought in my 2006 Smart Car to have the brakes looked at and pads replaced if needed. I was sent a comprehensive estimate of the repairs needed which included a video of a damaged ball joint. As I'm not familiar at all with cars this was not helpful to me. I replied that I only wanted the brakes fixed and an oil change. After picking up my car and paying, I discussed with Dan all of the other repairs needed. It was at that point that I fully understood the ramifications of the repairs needed. I wish I understood this before okaying any work as I would have just written off the car and not spent $885.00 needlessly. I realize this is on me but I do feel that the conversation I had with Dan after payment could have happened before I okayed anything. I wish he had gone a step further and recommended we talk before beginning any repairs.
Hi Debbie, you came to our shop looking to replace the brakes only as your "regular mechanic" is too busy.. Upon us inspecting the vehicle we contacted you and sent you an inspection that includes pictures and a short video of the issues we found with your vehicle BEFORE we did any repairs. Before I had any chance to explain you all of the issues you cut me off on the phone saying that you know about other issues and your "regular mechanic" will take care of them but he is too busy at this time. YOU Approved the brales replacement only at which point we proceeded with the repairs. When you came to pick up the vehicle I spent almost 30 min explaining you how important the ball joints are and the consequences that can happen if you continue driving as is. Also I reminded you that is illegal to drive with so many lights out (Front left headlight low beam/ high beam not in place Right rear turn signal middle one out High mount brake light has 3 working has 5 need the light Front park lights out). You also declined any repair/replacement of the lights. Also your Airbag system warning light is on and you also declined any diagnoatic or repairs on this issue. I don't understand the point of your review regarding our shop where you express your frustrastion regarding your vehicle needing extensive work. We repaired ONLY what you approved as we cannot force you to fix your vehicle properly. At the beggining you didn't even give me a chance to explain the other repairs necessary to have a safe car on the road and you had all the information necessary to make a decision(inspection report, pictures, videos). If you did not understand the importance of the items, I believe would be much better to ASK questions and LISTEN to the explanations BEFORE you decline the repairs. We hope you can find a shop that can help you better. If you have any issues with the work we did, you are more than welcome to contact us and we will assist you. Thank you again for outlining our strong work procedures where we DOCUMENT and TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN the issues as long as the owner of the vehicle want to LISTEN.
